According to Главком: In Vinnytsia, law enforcement officers detained a 63-year-old man suspected of illegally producing and selling postage stamps, causing over UAH 5 million in damage to 'Ukrposhta'. The production was carried out without the necessary permissions from the rights holder, which became the basis for criminal prosecution.
The man printed thousands of stamp sheets of various denominations, indicating the scale of his activities. According to law enforcement, the material damage caused to 'Ukrposhta' is of particularly large scale, complicating the situation for the suspect. On January 13, 2023, he was informed of his suspicion under part 3 of article 229 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Furthermore, as part of the investigation, the police of Vinnytsia region detained three members of an armed group, who may also be involved in illegal activities. This case has attracted public attention and provoked outrage due to the scale of the fraud, which negatively affected the state postal operator.
