According to information, the drones hit the Lukoil refinery several times, which had already been subjected to drone attacks before. In repelling the attack on the Lukoil refinery, the Russian air defense directed its strikes at a residential building.

After the drone attack, the Volgograd oil refinery of Lukoil suspended its operations. According to Reuters, during the attack, the primary processing unit CDU-5, with a capacity of 9,100 metric tons or 66,700 barrels per day, which constitutes one-fifteenth of the total capacity of the plant, was damaged. The hydrocracking unit, with a daily capacity of 11,000 tons, was also affected.

Recently, on the night of November 6, explosions occurred in Volgograd, which according to some reports were the result of a drone attack on the Lukoil oil refinery in the Krasnoarmeysky district of the city.
