As a result of the Russian strike on the railway station in the Shostka community, passengers and staff were injured, including three children, reports 'Glavkom' citing 'Ukrzaliznytsia'. It was noted that two trains were hit - a suburban train and a long-distance train.
'Medical assistance is being provided to our injured employee (the cashier of the suburban train) and to the injured passengers (among them three children) in hospitals,' - said 'Ukrzaliznytsia'.
President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the brutal Russian strike on the station in Shostka, in which dozens of people were killed. A particularly horrific moment of the attack was the second strike on the electric train when evacuation was already underway at the station. The target of the attack is to stop communication with the frontline communities. Rescuers, medics, and police are working at the scene to provide assistance to the victims.
