Strikes on Moscow become a reality: Trump prepares transfer of 'special' weapons
According to hvylya.net: The Trump administration is exploring the expansion of military aid to Ukraine. According to information from The Washington Post, the option of transferring Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine is being considered. This weapon is currently not on the delivery list but may be included later as part of a strict strategy to pressure Russia.
During an informal conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Trump asked why Ukraine is not striking the capital of Russia. Zelensky's response was: 'We can do that if we receive weapons from you.'
Also in focus are the long-range ATACMS missiles, which are already in the Ukrainian arsenal. Plans are being made to consider using them to their full range of up to 300 kilometers. This will provide Ukraine with the opportunity to hit targets deep within Russian territory that are currently out of reach.
Escalation from Trump
There are several reasons for this escalation from Trump. First, he has been convinced by the results of U.S. military operations against Iran using Tomahawk missiles. Secondly, Trump believes that only creating a real threat can force Putin to come to the negotiating table. Therefore, the possibility of supplying Ukraine with new types of military systems, including Patriot missile systems, is being explored.
According to The Washington Post, the Trump administration is considering the transfer of Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine as part of its strategy to pressure Russia. In a conversation with President Zelensky, Trump emphasized the potential strikes on Russia that could be carried out if military assistance is received from the U.S. The Trump administration is also planning to consider the use of long-range ATACMS missiles by Ukrainian forces to their full capacity. This initiative will allow Ukraine to strike targets deep within Russia that are currently beyond Ukrainian reach.
