Ukraine Expands Euro-Gauges: New Routes to the EU This Year

According to hvylya.net: The government is actively working on expanding European railway gauges. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kuleba noted that new sections in Transcarpathia and Volyn are planned to connect Ukraine with the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Poland.
'This creates the basis for a full-fledged freight corridor from Ukrainian industrial centers to European ports and markets. A total of 10 directions have been identified for implementation,' emphasized Kuleba.
A new section of the European gauge Chop - Uzhhorod has also been opened in Ukraine. This opens up opportunities for direct trips to Bratislava, Budapest, and Vienna, which will promote tourism, education, job opportunities, and business development in the region.
