According to Главком: On March 6, 2023, Ukraine secured the return of seven of its citizens who had been detained in Hungary. The individuals, who were employees of the state-owned Oschadbank, were suspected by Hungarian authorities of transporting significant amounts of cash and gold. The National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary carried out the initial detention. This incident highlights the complex diplomatic landscape Ukraine navigates while under invasion. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha confirmed their safe return, stating:

"I have already informed President Zelenskyy that we have managed to secure the release of seven Ukrainian citizens who were held in Budapest. They are already safe and have crossed the Ukrainian border. Our consuls provided the necessary assistance."

Zelenskyy's Warnings and National Tribute

In other developments that day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russia was preparing a spring offensive in the Donetsk region, specifically naming cities like Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, and Sloviansk.

"The Russians have not given up on the war and here, in Donetsk region, they are preparing an offensive for the spring. It is important that our positions are strong,"

he emphasized. Separately, Zelenskyy signed Law No. 14144, instituting a nationwide daily minute of silence. This tribute, to be broadcast daily at 9:00 AM through state and private media as well as civil defense systems, aims to honor the memory of those killed in the war.
