The Ukrainian delegation's composition was approved by the country's President prior to the talks.

The central topic of the negotiations is the situation in the Donbas region. Delegations from all three nations are exploring potential pathways to resolve the conflict and changes that could bring stability to the area. The Ukrainian side is represented by high-level experts, including delegation head Rustem Umerov, who serves as Secretary of Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council. “They are talking about the parameters for ending the war. They should have at least some answers from Russia by now, and the main thing is that Russia must be ready to end this war, which it started itself,” stated Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
