123 political prisoners released from Belarus: among them are five Ukrainians

Report on the release of political prisoners by the Belarusian regime

According to МЗС: Ukraine celebrates the release of 123 political prisoners, among whom are five Ukrainians, from the prisons of the Belarusian regime, which occurred on December 13, 2025.

This release became possible thanks to the joint efforts of the United States of America, personally President Donald Trump, the entire democratic community, human rights defenders, and non-governmental organizations.

We believe that the release of political prisoners will bring closer the liberation of Belarus as a country - it has been under the vassal management of Moscow for many years and in the captivity of the Lukashenko regime, which uses people as a living commodity for political indulgences.

We are confident that one day Belarus will return to being a free, democratic European country. This will also be facilitated by the released individuals - from Nobel laureates to ordinary citizens, who simply seek freedom.

Aleksandr Lukashenko and all those involved in human rights violations in Belarus will not escape responsibility for all the crimes committed, including against the Ukrainian people.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses gratitude to the Coordination Center for the Treatment of Prisoners of War for their support in carrying out this humanitarian operation.

This release of political prisoners by the Belarusian regime is a step towards restoring freedom and democracy in the country. It reflects the support of the international community in the fight for human rights and condemns the violations taking place on the territory of Belarus. We hope that this example will be the beginning of positive changes in the political life of the country and will promote its transition to democracy.
