Winters in Ukraine are becoming warmer and less snowy, and this trend will continue in the future. Climatologists warn of a new reality where frosty winters will be a rarity.

According to Vira Balabukh from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Institute, the average temperature is rising, and snow is becoming less stable. However, frosts and snowfalls will not completely disappear due to our geographical location.

'We will still feel the breath of the Arctic, but less intensely,' she explained.

A warm autumn is predicted, with a possible 'Indian summer'. The first snows can be expected soon, especially in the Carpathians. It is also a reminder for the energy sector to prepare for the heating season.

The climate of Ukraine is changing, winters are becoming warmer and less snowy, but frosts and snowfalls will not disappear completely. Scientists warn of a new reality where the long-awaited frosty winter will be a rarity, so it is important to be prepared for changes in the climate.
