Ukrainians paid record amounts of income tax: which regions are leading

In the first half of the year, revenues from personal income tax increased by 21.2%, to UAH 292.3 billion. This figure exceeds last year's result by UAH 51.2 billion, reported acting head of the State Tax Service Lesya Karnauh.

Leaders in income tax payments

Among the leaders in personal income tax payments are:

• Kiev - UAH 68.2 billion
• Dnipropetrovsk region - UAH 28.9 billion
• Lviv region - UAH 19.8 billion
• Kiev region - UAH 17.5 billion

The growth of tax revenues in large regions and cities is associated with increased demand for services, high salaries, and the volume of formal employment.

'At the same time, we continue systematic work with taxpayers to bring activities out of the shadow. This should encourage civilized operation under unified rules and approaches. We are also increasing the efficiency of tax administration,' - noted Lesya Karnauh.
