Ukrainians have been informed that some of them may temporarily not conduct mandatory verification of meters for utility services. Given the situation in the country, this possibility is granted to citizens living in temporarily occupied territories and in areas with active hostilities during martial law.

Other consumers who do not fall under this criterion are advised to conduct meter verification every four years at a cost ranging from 350 to over 1000 hryvnias, depending on the place of residence and the type of device. After passing the verification, it is important to provide documents about its results to the management company or utility provider.

According to explanations from representatives of 'Gazmerezha', the verification procedure must be documented, the act of verification results must include information on the readings and condition of the meter, and a certificate of suitability must be issued indicating the date of the next check. These requirements aim to ensure the accuracy of calculations for utility services.

Ukrainians need to understand that the verification procedure for meters is mandatory under the country's legislation to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the accounting for consumed energy. Therefore, it is worth monitoring the verification deadlines and performing the necessary procedures for the proper functioning of the utility resource accounting system.
