Ukrainian Zharkova became the world champion in freediving: what depth she conquered
According to glavcom.ua: Ukrainian freediver Natalia Zharkova became the world champion in freediving in the CWT discipline – constant weight diving with a monofin. The competition took place in Mitikas, Greece, where she won the gold medal. 28 female athletes participated in the tournament, including two Ukrainians – Zharkova and Kateryna Sadurska. Natalia announced the greatest depth - 113 m and successfully completed the attempt, becoming the world champion. Kateryna Sadurska, who declared a dive at 105 m, placed fourth due to a penalty for a result of 98 meters.
Kateryna Sadurska, a freediving record holder, has won the title of world champion three times and set a new national record - 103 meters with a monofin. She came to freediving after her career as a synchronized swimmer for the Ukrainian national team, where she also achieved impressive results.
Ukrainian athletes continue to confirm their leadership in the world of freediving, setting new records and achieving high places in international competitions.
