Ukrainians updated records in the WTA rankings: who made the biggest leap
Today the updated ranking of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) was announced, in which Ukrainian tennis players have climbed to new positions. Two of them managed to set personal records, reports 'Glavkom'.
Oleksandra Oliynykova climbed to the 135th position. Last week she impressed with her performances at the tournament in Brazilian Florianopolis, where she achieved valuable victories.
Veronika Podrez also made a significant leap in the rankings after winning the title at the tournament in French Poitiers. Her successes allowed her to significantly improve her position.
In a successful performance at the European Youth Olympic Festival, Ukraine took 10th place in the overall medal standings. With 5 gold, 8 silver and 10 bronze medals, the Ukrainian team demonstrated impressive achievements.
In addition, at the World Summer Universiade in Germany, Ukrainian athletes continued to raise the flag of the country, winning a total of 12 medals, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.
