European champion Sofia Liskun received a Russian passport: details of the scandalous statement

Ukrainian diving champion
Софія Ліскун, чемпіонка Європи, стала володаркою російського паспорта: обговорення навколо її рішення.

Sofia Liskun received Russian citizenship

European diving champion Sofia Liskun told Russian propagandists that she received Russian citizenship. This was reported by Glavkom.

Liskun claims she never thought about which country she competes for, and in Ukraine, she faced discrimination.

She also stated that she had recent problems and had to consult a psychiatrist.

'In our pool in Kyiv, there was a huge sign: 'Sport outside of politics'. But the first ones to be hit were of course us, the athletes,' Liskun said.

She communicated with Russian propagandists in occupied Luhansk.

Putin supporters at a propaganda event

Let us recall that Russian skater Alexandra Saitova, recognized as a neutral athlete by the International Skating Union (ISU), was present at Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's annual address to the Federal Assembly.

Another Putin supporter, Russian skier Veronika Stepanova, posted a photo on Instagram about Saitova's participation in the propaganda event.

The 2026 Olympics will take place from February 6 to 22 in Italy.

The Russian skater can also be seen in the video broadcast of the event. Together with the neutral athlete Saitova, Putin's associates and Russian servicemen who participated in the war against Ukraine also took part in the propaganda event.

Participation in such events is a gross violation of the IOC's recommendations regarding neutral athletes.

European diving champion Sofia Liskun has joined Russian citizenship and expressed her disagreement with discrimination in Ukrainian sports. Meanwhile, other Russian athletes, including Alexandra Saitova and Veronika Stepanova, continue to support the activities of Vladimir Putin's propaganda regime, which goes beyond the IOC's recommendations regarding neutral athletes.
