Ukrainian Stars Record Songs for Ukrainian Armed Forces: How the Front Studio Works
Ukrainian artists are heading to the combat brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to communicate with soldiers and create songs for them. This initiative takes place as part of the 'Front Studio' project by Cultural Forces.
16 seasons are planned, during which Ukrainian musicians will visit 16 brigades and record the corresponding number of songs. The first season took place on November 11, featuring musician Sasha Chemerys and rapper Gonya visiting the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Konstantin Ostrogskiy.
During the meeting, the artists spent time with the military, learned to operate drones, and listened to the defenders for further song creation. At the end, the musicians presented a track for the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade titled 'By God's Mercy'.
'The Front Studio' is an opportunity to transform the emotions, stories, and atmosphere of the combat unit into musical expression. We wanted to create a really cool and truthful project that conveys authenticity, and with the military, it means deep communication and mutual understanding. In the 30th brigade, we, along with Gonya, met the fighters and delved into their everyday lives to feel their 'vibe'. This project demonstrates the army from the inside - interesting, professional, and bright people serving in the ranks of the Defense Forces,' said Sasha Chemerys.
The project involves numerous well-known Ukrainian musicians and artists, including: Sasha Chemerys, Gonya, Monatik, Pavlo Hots, Nord Division, Kozak Siromaha, Yulia Yurina, Misha Pravyl’nyi, Lely45, Probass & Hardi, Misha Krupin, DK Energetyk, and others.
Cultural Forces are aimed at developing military culture, providing moral and psychological support to servicemen and families of fallen soldiers. This initiative brings together volunteers, cultural figures, and military creative professionals.
