Overnight Drone Strikes Hit Three Russian Regions in New Ukrainian Offensive
Drone Attacks Target Industrial Sites Across Russia
According to ХВИЛЯ: During the night of June 14, Ukrainian drones struck facilities in Russia's Yaroslavl, Tula, and Smolensk regions. The attacks were aimed at three key locations: the Temp industrial complex in Rybinsk, the Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, and a traction substation in Vyazma. Fires were reported in all three areas.
The most significant strike targeted the Temp complex, which belongs to Russia's state reserves agency Rosrezerv and stores fuel. Located roughly 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, this facility had previously been hit by a drone attack in late 2025. In response, Yaroslavl Governor Mikhail Yevrayev ordered traffic restrictions on the road leading toward Moscow.
Secondary Targets Hit in Coordinated Strikes
The second target was the Azot chemical plant in Novomoskovsk, situated about 350 kilometers from the border. NASA FIRMS satellite data detected a thermal signature at one of the plant's main processing units. Tula Governor Dmitry Milyayev confirmed that drone debris fell onto the grounds of an industrial enterprise in Novomoskovsk.
In Vyazma, Smolensk region, a fire broke out near a railway depot. According to OSINT analysts, the blaze affected the Vyazma traction electrical substation, which powers railway lines. These strikes indicate an intensification of drone operations in areas situated far from the front lines.
These developments highlight the escalating conflict and the adoption of new tactical approaches by both sides. Attacks on critical industrial facilities carry strategic significance by impacting the adversary's resources and infrastructure. At the same time, this drone activity suggests a potential expansion of the combat zone, which could introduce new security challenges across the region.
As tensions escalate, the recent drone strikes not only target critical industrial sites but also signal a shift in military strategy.
