According to ДСНС: In Transcarpathia, members of the Special Purpose Rescue Unit are participating in an intensive two-week course focused on rope climbing and high-altitude rescue techniques. The training is led by instructors from the Lviv Mobile Rapid Response Rescue Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Over the course of the program, participants gain hands-on experience in:
- tying secure and reliable knots;
- navigating safely at significant heights;
- practicing the evacuation of simulated victims;
- installing cable crossings between structures;
- using pulley systems to lift or lower individuals;
- mastering techniques for moving heavy loads;
- traversing through the air using specialized pendulum systems.
