Export of Ukrainian Grain Fell Threefold: New Data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy
According to hvylya.net: Ukraine has reduced grain exports by 28% since the beginning of the 2025/2026 marketing year, totaling 5.82 million tons. This figure is significantly lower compared to last year.
The largest share of exports is wheat - 4.02 million tons, which is 28% less than a year ago. Barley exports have halved - from 1.24 million to 791 thousand tons, while corn exports have decreased threefold - from 2.66 million to 893 thousand tons.
Since the beginning of the new marketing year, there have been no rye shipments. There is also a 24% decrease in flour exports, from 17.4 thousand tons to 13.2 thousand tons.
The reduction in grain exports is attributed to the consequences of Russian aggression, which affected sown areas, yield, and logistics. Despite these complications, the Ukrainian agricultural sector continues to supply grain to external markets, which supports global food security.
