The Ukrainian team has secured another spot at the World Karate Championship. According to the results of the qualifying tournament held from October 17 to 19 in Paris, it is already known that Ukrainian athlete Nikita Filipov has secured his place in the final phase of the competition, which will take place in November in Egypt.

23-year-old Kyiv resident Nikita Filipov (Champion club) earned another spot for Ukraine in the final stage. After losing in the group, he gathered himself and confidently defeated opponents from Morocco and Ecuador, and in the playoffs overcame Czech athlete Martin Drabek to secure a place in Cairo.

Earlier, seven other Ukrainian athletes had already qualified for the World Championship. The Ukrainian team's achievements also include entering the top 10 of the overall medal standings at the European Youth Olympic Festival, where they successfully placed 10th with 5 gold, 8 silver, and 10 bronze medals.

It should be noted that Ukrainian athletes continue to make a successful contribution to global sports and raise the nation's flag high in international competitions.
