Ukrzaliznytsia launched 16 additional trains for the holidays: list

During the Christmas and New Year holidays, Ukrzaliznytsia appointed 16 additional trains, as well as additional cars and increased frequency of certain routes. This should partially alleviate the shortage of seats during peak travel dates. This is reported by Ukrzaliznytsia.

The company notes that even with a lack of cars, they are using all possible resources. The main focus is on the Carpathian direction, which traditionally has high demand among families with children and military personnel traveling for holidays or rehabilitation. Some routes in January will also operate as part of the '3000 km across Ukraine' program.

During the holidays, the following additional services will operate:

• №249/250 Kyiv – Lviv;

• №289/290 Kyiv – Lviv;

Additional express train services №755/756 Kyiv – Lutsk and №720/719 Kyiv – Kharkiv have also been appointed.

Convenient connections to the Carpathians

UZ specifically draws attention to convenient transfers for trips to the Carpathians. Train №291 Kyiv – Lviv has a 35-minute connection with train №157/158 Lviv – Chop, which passes through Skole, Volovets, Svalyava, and Mukachevo.

Train №289 Kyiv – Lviv arrives at 07:40, after which at 10:51 you can continue your trip by diesel train Lviv – Vorokhta through Yaremche and Bukovel.

In addition, additional connecting cars will run from Dnipro in the western direction on the route Dnipro – Lviv as part of train №032/031 Zaporizhzhia – Przemyśl. The company also reminds about the possibility of auto-check-in for tickets in the UZ app.
