Launch of the Modernized Electric Train

According to Главком: Ukrzaliznytsia has launched a modernized electric train for routes in Kyiv region and neighboring areas. This electric train will operate towards Teterev, Nizhyn, and Hrebinka. This year, it is already the 13th updated electric train, and since the beginning of the full-scale invasion in Ukraine, it is the 49th.

Modern Conveniences for Passengers

The new electric train offers passengers a range of modern conveniences. Among them:

• a modern information board that will inform about the train's status and scheduled stops;
• tables with Type-C and USB ports for charging gadgets;
• ramps and special places for people with disabilities;
• signs with Braille;
• bike fixation areas;
• changing tables for parents with children.

It is important to note that starting from January 1, 2026, tickets for travel on the Kyiv city electric train will not be sold directly on the train.

The launch of the modernized electric train is part of Ukrzaliznytsia's strategy to improve passenger service quality and adapt infrastructure to modern requirements.
