Ukrzaliznytsia Announces Major Train Schedule Revisions Effective March 1

Train schedule starting from March 1
Укрзалізниця повідомляє про суттєві зміни у графіках руху потягів з 1 березня.

Temporary Alterations to Rail Services

According to Главком: Due to a deteriorating security situation in several Ukrainian regions, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia has implemented temporary changes to train schedules, effective March 1, 2026. These adjustments affect routes in the Sumy, Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson oblasts, as well as services to and from the Dnipro-Holovnyi station. These operational changes are a regular feature as the national railway adapts to the ongoing conflict.

In Sumy and Chernihiv oblasts, regional trains will temporarily run only to or from Konotop. Commuter services on the Nizhyn route will operate on adapted timetables. Connections between Kharkiv and Donetsk oblasts are being provided via bus transfers from Lozova to Kramatorsk. Train No. 101/102 (Barvinkove – Kherson) is running as scheduled, and regional express trains on the Izium route are also departing according to plan.

Service Status in Other Regions

In Zaporizhzhia Oblast, power supply disruptions were recorded following a nighttime shelling. Commuter trains are operating, but delays of up to one hour are possible; no cancellations have been announced. Service to and from Dnipro-Holovnyi station is temporarily restricted for trains No. 86/85, No. 128/127, No. 6, and No. 40/39. Connections between Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia are primarily maintained via bus transfers. In Kherson Oblast, rail traffic is being organized with the current security situation in mind.

These schedule revisions reflect the present conditions in Ukraine and Ukrzaliznytsia's efforts to adapt to the challenges posed by security threats.

Ukrzaliznytsia's decision to alter train routes underscores the paramount importance of passenger safety amid ongoing military hostilities.

Given the unstable situation in these regions, the company is striving to maintain access to transport services while accounting for the risks arising from shelling and other dangers. This move is part of a broader strategy to support citizens facing security-related challenges.
