According to Главком: The Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) members reviewed a request from the Lviv-based football club 'Rukh' to withdraw its senior team from the 2025/26 competition. During a general meeting held on Tuesday, the division's clubs unanimously approved the removal of Rukh from the tournament.

Since Rukh will not participate in the promotion-relegation playoffs for a UPL spot in the new season, its place will be taken by FC 'Oleksandriya', which finished second-to-last.
