The government has fixed the gas tariff for the population until 2026: details of the decision

The government has decided to keep gas tariffs for the population unchanged until 2026 Ukrainians can rejoice, as gas tariffs for the population will remain at the same level for at least until 2026. The government has extended the mechanism of special obligations (SO) on gas market participants, informs 'Facts'. In particular, according to the resolution, the price of gas for the population will be 7,420 UAH per 1,000 cubic meters (including VAT), and for budget institutions - 16,390 UAH per 1,000 cubic meters. Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko emphasized that fixed tariffs are an important step to ensure stability and security during the heating season. In addition, the government supported a project on state supervision in the field of water supply and wastewater. Despite fixed tariffs, it is worth remembering that the cost of gas on the market may vary depending on the supplier. Annual tariffs range from 7.79 to 9.99 UAH per cubic meter. Monthly prices currently range from 8.46 to 20.99 UAH per cubic meter. It should be noted that in Ukraine the share of gas production has decreased due to the actions of the Russian Federation.
