Which supermarkets in Lviv have the highest salaries in 2025

The Lviv City Council has published an updated salary rating for the largest retail chains in the city. According to the report from the Lviv City Council's Department of Economic Development, in the first nine months of 2025, 13 retailers paid over 434.7 million UAH in taxes to the budget, which is 32% more than last year. This is reported by zaxid.net.

Which supermarket chains were analyzed

The study considered chains such as «Auchan», «Arsen», «Metro», «Silpo», ATB, «Epicenter», «Rukavychka», «Blizzenko», «Halytska svizhyna», Comfy, «Simi», «Aurora», and Eva. Some of them are registered within the Lviv community, while others are outside it but have staff here and pay taxes at their place of work.

Salary levels in retail chains in Lviv in 2025

  • «Blizzenko» — 26.8 thousand UAH (2725 employees);

  • «Arsen» — 24.1 thousand UAH (1488 employees);

  • «Rukavychka» — 23.9 thousand UAH (2600 employees);

  • «Halytska svizhyna» — 20 thousand UAH (652 employees).

Highest salaries among companies registered outside the community

  • ATB — 40.9 thousand UAH;

  • Comfy — 34.3 thousand UAH (139 employees in Lviv);

  • «Epicenter» — 33.3 thousand UAH (1610 employees);

  • «Aurora» — 31.8 thousand UAH;

  • «Metro» — 30.9 thousand UAH;

  • Eva — 27 thousand UAH;

  • «Silpo» — 25.7 thousand UAH;

  • «Auchan» — 21.2 thousand UAH;

  • «Simi» — 20.9 thousand UAH.

As noted by the head of the Department of Economic Development of the Lviv City Council Inna Svystun, retail chains form about 4% of the total personal income tax that goes to the city budget. 

According to the portal Work.ua, the average salary in retail in Lviv is now about 23 thousand UAH.

Earlier, we reported that most leaders of Ukrainian enterprises plan to increase salaries for their employees over the next year. This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the National Bank of Ukraine among businesses in the third quarter of 2025.
