Powerful earthquake in Japan: over 30 injured and tsunami threat

According to glavcom.ua: On the night of December 9, a powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.5 struck Japan, resulting in injuries to at least 33 people. Notably, the US Geological Survey estimated the magnitude of the event at 7.6. The incident occurred in northern Japan, about 80 km from Aomori Prefecture. A task force has already been assigned to assess the damage. Japan has issued a warning about possible aftershocks and a tsunami along the country's northeastern coast. The nuclear safety regulator reports that the situation at the Rokkasho facility is stable following the earthquake.
