Heating season has started: 99% of Ukrainian homes have received heating

Ukraine is preparing for the heating season 2025/2026. According to Deputy Minister Kostiantyn Kovalchuk, over 99% of residential buildings already have heating. A total of 17,419 boiler houses are operational in the country, and now 24,487 social institutions, including preschools and educational institutions, are receiving heat.

According to Kovalchuk, the heating season continues despite the challenges posed by the aggressor country. Special attention is paid to frontline regions, where heating works continuously.

In Kryvyi Rih, problems with heating have also been resolved. Thanks to the joint efforts of various authorities and Naftogaz, almost all residential buildings have received heating. In addition, a comprehensive program for the development of distributed generation has been developed to make communities, especially frontline ones, more resilient.

The Ministry continues to monitor the situation and cooperate with local authorities to ensure a comfortable heating period for all citizens.
