The government approved new bonuses for teachers: what has changed in payments

Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced the establishment of new bonus amounts for teachers. In particular, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved new payment rules for educational workers concerning annual bonuses, payments for work experience, and additional payments for inclusive education.

According to the updated system, all education sector employees will have the right to an annual bonus equivalent to a full monthly salary, which currently amounts to 3195 hryvnias. Local authorities will also have the opportunity to establish their own types of allowances and their amounts.

Taras Melnychuk, a government representative in parliament, highlighted the importance of changes in the bonus system for work experience. Now, periods of work in positions that were previously not counted will also be included in pedagogical experience, allowing more employees to receive appropriate payments. Additional payments for inclusive education will also be regulated.
