The number of vacancies for candidates on maternity leave in Ukraine has increased with salaries up to UAH 40,000

In August 2026, the number of vacancies for candidates on maternity leave increased by approximately 10% compared to the previous year. The most significant increase was in job offers for copywriters and packers. Similar to other industries where employers are seeking workers, there is a shortage of personnel in the labor market. This was reported by RBK-Ukraine citing data from OLX Work.

Vacancies for candidates on maternity leave: which professions are in demand

The number of vacancies for copywriters increased almost fivefold over the year. The median salary in August was UAH 22,000. Job offers for packers increased more than threefold, with the median wage reaching UAH 27,000.

Employers were also increasingly looking for workers for the following positions:

• security guard – the number of vacancies increased by 99%, with a median salary of UAH 27,000;

• nanny – an increase of 95%, salary – UAH 18,000;

• courier – an increase of 65%, salary – UAH 37,500.

The number of job offers in trade and sales also increased, especially for bakers, salespeople, cashiers, sales managers, and merchandisers. Salaries for workers on maternity leave: where is the increase the highest

Along with the increase in job advertisements, the median salaries also rose. The most notable growth was observed for merchandisers – nearly quadrupling to UAH 17,000.

The salaries of copywriters increased by 76% to UAH 22,000, animators by 63% to UAH 22,000, and educators by 32% to UAH 17,000. For most other positions, the median salary growth ranged from 10% to 30% over the year.
