PlayCity to create a registry of players by December: how the restriction will work
The State Agency PlayCity has announced a tender for the creation of a registry of individuals with restricted participation in gambling. The deadline for submitting proposals is October 26, 2025, and the project cost may amount to up to 1.7 million hryvnias.
'Our goal is to create a modern, safe and convenient system for those who want to protect themselves or their loved ones from addiction to gambling,' the agency reported.
One of the key features of the new registry will be a personal account for citizens, through which applications for self-restriction can be submitted. Integration with the Diya portal, online systems of gambling providers, and an improved level of personal data protection is also planned.
'The registry is an important step in achieving responsible gaming and developing a safe gambling market in Ukraine. Proposals to participate in the tender can be submitted on Prozorro,' emphasized PlayCity.
The registry is expected to be ready by December 15, 2025, to ensure more effective control over gambling participants.
After registration, the registry of individuals with restricted participation in gambling will help create additional protection for those wishing to avoid problems related to gambling addiction. This initiative is aimed at improving control and regulation of the gambling market in Ukraine.
