SBU blocks films with Kolokolnikov: what has disappeared from Ukrainian streaming services

Ukrainian online cinemas and streaming platforms have started removing films and series featuring Russian actor Yuri Kolokolnikov due to his inclusion in the 'black list' of individuals posing a threat to national security. This decision was made at the initiative of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy.

"Game of Thrones" (Season 4), "The White Lotus" (Season 3), Christopher Nolan's film "Tenet", superhero action movie "Kraven".

The Ministry explained that this action was in accordance with the law "On Cinematography" and aimed at implementing decisions regarding the exclusion of films with actors who pose a threat to national security from Ukrainian platforms. At the same time, negotiations have begun to limit access to this content on international platforms.

As a result of the decision to remove films with the Russian actor from Ukrainian platforms, the importance of adhering to the norms of the law and protecting the national security of the country has been emphasized, as well as the responsibility of the platforms before Ukrainian legislation.
