New Rules for Booking and Storage of License Plates in Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: Fixed terms have been introduced in Ukraine for the services of booking and storing vehicle license plates. These changes are part of the updated government resolution No. 795, aimed at simplifying the process of obtaining and storing plates for drivers.

From now on, the service of responsible storage of license plates will be provided for clearly defined periods:

• 10 calendar days
• 1 month
• 1 year

Ordering for any number of days is no longer possible, meaning users must choose one of the specified terms. The booking period for the alphanumeric combination of the vehicle's license plate is 15 calendar days. If the plate is not secured within this time, the booking is automatically canceled.

The return of the license plate to the general access occurs within 3 days after the booking is canceled. Booking and storage services can be ordered at the MIA service centers or through the online service 'Driver's Cabinet'. These innovations will contribute to the organization and optimization of processes related to the registration of vehicle license plates in Ukraine.
