Today, December 2, 2025, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) issued a verdict against the former judge of the Druzhkivka City Court and the lawyer. They were suspected of receiving a bribe to close a case of administrative offense.

The court supported the position of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) and found the former judge guilty of a crime under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He received 6 years of imprisonment, with a ban on positions for 3 years and confiscation of half of his property.

“Since the judge had already been sentenced to another punishment for a different crime (which is currently being appealed), he received 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment with a ban on positions in government for 3 years and confiscation of the remaining property.”

Regarding the lawyer, he was found guilty of facilitating the payment of a bribe and was sentenced to 4 years and 6 months under Article 27, Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The verdict of the HACC will enter into force after 30 days if it is not appealed to the Appeal Chamber.

As a result of the session of the High Anti-Corruption Court, punishments for the corrupt actions of the former judge and lawyer have been completed, which caused significant damage to trust in the judicial system and the legal profession in Ukraine.
