The Verkhovna Rada approved the defense budget: over 2.8 trillion UAH for the army in 2026

According to Мін. Оборони: The approved state budget for 2026 allocates over 2.8 trillion UAH for the needs of Ukraine's defense. According to Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, this will constitute 27.2% of the country's GDP next year. The funds will be directed towards the salaries of military personnel and the purchase of weapons to make the Ukrainian army even more powerful.
“Every hryvnia invested in our army makes our country stronger and increases our capabilities for defense against aggressors,” emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
The adoption of the state budget for the next year is an important step in ensuring national security and defense capability, increasing funding for defense and military program indicators.
