Adopted State Budget-2026: how to spend 4.8 trillion UAH

The state budget for 2026 has been adopted. The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the State Budget for 2026. This news was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yulia Svyrydenko, who expressed gratitude to the members of parliament for supporting this key document.

Budget revenues will grow to UAH 2.92 trillion, which is UAH 446.8 billion more than in 2025. Expenditures will also increase and will amount to UAH 4.83 trillion, or UAH 134.5 billion more than last year.

“The goal of the budget is to ensure the defense of the country, support people, and create conditions for economic growth even amid a full-scale invasion,” emphasized Yulia Svyrydenko.

The Prime Minister named the key priorities of the budget — defense, security, and social stability — as the foundation on which state policy is built.

The government allocates 100% of its own revenues to the Defense Forces and plans to spend almost 60% of all expenditures on the army next year. Significant expenditures are also planned for education, healthcare, support for IDPs, veterans, social support, and security in frontline regions, as well as increasing salaries for teaching staff and medical workers. The government also plans to continue business support programs and aid for Ukrainian producers, as well as to provide support for regional projects. Economic growth, a slowdown in inflation, and an increase in the average wage are expected in 2026.

The state budget for 2026 takes into account the increase in revenues and expenditures, including for defense, security, social protection and support for business and regions, which should contribute to the economic development of the country and ensure its security.
