Vertical Aerospace Partners with Leading Suppliers for Valo Development

According to НВ — Техно: UK-based Vertical Aerospace has finalized two significant long-term contracts to equip its electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) aircraft, Valo. South Korea’s ANH Structure will design and manufacture seats featuring 30G impact absorption technology, capable of withstanding forces 30 times greater than Earth's gravity. Meanwhile, the German division of Northrop Grumman LITEF will deliver the LCR-110 inertial navigation system, which provides precise data on the aircraft's orientation, heading, and location.

Aircraft Variants and Production Plans

The Valo model currently includes a four-seat piloted version, with plans underway to develop both four- and six-seat variants. Vertical Aerospace is also exploring hybrid and unmanned configurations. Both suppliers hold international certifications, including approvals from EASA and FAA. The integrated systems for Valo will undergo comprehensive testing and certification before entering service.

So far, Vertical Aerospace has secured approximately 1,500 pre-orders from prominent customers such as American Airlines, Japan Airlines, and leasing company Avolon. These commitments highlight a growing global demand for cutting-edge electric aviation technologies.

“Vertical Aerospace’s agreements with ANH Structure and Northrop Grumman LITEF reflect a strong momentum in advancing innovations within electric aviation,” said an industry expert.

By incorporating state-of-the-art impact-absorbing seats and highly accurate navigation systems, Vertical Aerospace aims to enhance passenger safety and comfort. As the transportation sector increasingly prioritizes sustainable and efficient solutions, the successful deployment of the Valo aircraft may mark a pivotal moment in reshaping aviation infrastructure worldwide.
