High Anti-Corruption Court Extends Tatiana Krupa’s Restrictions Until December 5, 2026
Judicial Actions Concerning Tatiana Krupa
According to 5 канал: On October 5, the High Anti-Corruption Court ruled to extend the procedural restrictions imposed on Tatiana Krupa, the former head of the Khmelnytsky Medical-Social Expert Commission (MSEC). Acting on a request from the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), the court prolonged these obligations until December 5, 2026, inclusive.
Under these conditions, Krupa must inform the court of any changes to her residence and surrender her foreign travel passports along with other identification documents, except for her Ukrainian national ID. Previously, Krupa and her son were detained on accusations of large-scale illicit enrichment, with searches uncovering nearly $6 million in various currencies.
Ongoing Investigation and Measures
Earlier, on September 4, a judge at the High Anti-Corruption Court partially approved a request from a National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) detective to extend Krupa’s preventive measures. She is currently required to wear an electronic monitoring bracelet and has handed over her international passport.
Krupa formerly served as a deputy representing the 'Servant of the People' party in the Khmelnytsky regional council. The court emphasized in its decision:
“The duration of the imposed obligations is extended until December 5, 2026, inclusive. According to Article 62, Part 1 of the Constitution of Ukraine, an individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty through a court verdict established by law.”
The extension of Krupa’s procedural duties highlights the ongoing nature of the investigation into significant allegations of illicit enrichment, a case that has drawn considerable public attention. This judicial and prosecutorial response underscores the gravity of the charges against the former official and reflects Ukraine’s broader commitment to combating corruption within government institutions. High-profile cases like this play a crucial role in shaping public confidence in the country’s ability to effectively address corruption and uphold the rule of law.
The ongoing scrutiny of high-profile figures in Ukraine's political landscape continues to unfold, as seen in the recent developments involving Tatiana Krupa. Similar to the case of allegations against former President Poroshenko, the involvement of judicial oversight raises questions about the integrity of legal processes in politically sensitive cases. As investigations proceed, the implications for public trust in the judicial system remain significant.
