The war between Ukraine and Russia will end through diplomatic means within a range of two months to a year. This forecast was made by the head of the Mykolaiv regional military administration, Vitaliy Kim, in an interview with the publication Glavcom.

Will a ceasefire agreement be signed

Kim emphasized that any armed conflict inevitably ends with the signing of a document – peace or capitulation. According to him, there is a hundred percent certainty that the war will end precisely through diplomatic means, and someone will definitely sign something.

'In any case, they sign some paper, so I can be 100% confident that the war will end through diplomatic means and someone will sign something. Although it is possible to simply stop shooting and not sign anything, everyone wants some document stipulating the conditions for the end of the war. Therefore, ending the war through diplomatic means is quite possible', emphasized the regional head.

Kim's forecast on the end of the war

The head of the Mykolaiv OVA also shared his personal calculations regarding possible timelines for the end of Russian aggression against Ukraine. In his assessment, this could happen in the near future.

'My personal forecast – it will happen within a range of two months to a year', stated Kim.

Who is Vitaliy Kim

It is worth noting that Vitaliy Kim became one of the most prominent faces at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The charismatic and quick-witted leader inspired Ukrainians with optimism in the early months of the large-scale war. However, over time, his presence in the national media space significantly diminished.

Kim practically disappeared from nationwide media and is hardly noticeable outside of his region. According to unofficial information, his reclusive behavior in Mykolaiv can be related to the fact that the President's Office reacted quite cautiously to the rise of his popularity and rating prospects.

At the national level, Kim recently made headlines again alongside other heads of regional military administrations and city mayors. In mid-September, a new structure – the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities – was created at a forum in Kharkiv.

The new organization united over a hundred communities from the frontline regions of Ukraine. Association participants expect that their collective voice will become significantly louder and more substantial in dialogue with the central authorities. The mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov, heads the Association of Frontline Cities and Communities. Meanwhile, Vitaliy Kim remains one of the most notable representatives and active participants in this structure.

Earlier we reported that a new water supply system was launched in Mykolaiv.
