The first champion of Ukraine in amputee football: who received a ticket to the Champions League
According to glavcom.ua: Last weekend, the first-ever championship of Ukraine in amputee football took place in Kyiv. It was indeed an important moment for the development of sports in Ukraine. The competition was part of the 'League of the Strong', which brought together athletes from all over the country and highlighted the importance of football for physical and psychological health, as well as social integration.
The winners were the 'Pokrova AMP' team from Lviv, which showed impressive results, not suffering any defeats throughout the tournament. They were given the opportunity to represent Ukraine on the international stage in the Champions League 2026. 12 teams and over 350 players from different regions of Ukraine participated in the competition, with a total of 75 matches held in various cities.
Amputee football is a dynamic and exciting sport that promotes inclusion and team cohesion. The national team of Ukraine is awaiting tough matches at the World Cup, but after the victory over Iceland, we can talk about positive changes in the team.
