Property owners paid 22% more tax: amounts and leaders named

Increase in property tax payments

This year, property owners paid 22% more property tax than last year during the same period.

This was reported by the State Tax Service.

According to tax data, nearly 8.7 billion hryvnias were transferred to local budgets, which is 1.6 billion UAH more than in 2024.

Among the leaders in payments:

• Kyiv – 1.74 billion UAH,
• Kyiv region – 0.86 billion UAH,
• Dnipropetrovsk region – 0.84 billion UAH,
• Odesa region – 0.83 billion UAH.

A total of 740 thousand taxpayers paid the property tax from January to August.

The property tax was paid by individuals – owners:

• of apartments larger than 60 square meters;
• of houses larger than 120 square meters;
• of other housing, including shares, larger than 180 square meters.

From January to August this year, property tax payments in Ukraine increased by 22%, reaching 8.7 billion UAH. The highest payments were made by owners in Kyiv, Kyiv, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions. Each owner of an apartment or house exceeding the established area has the opportunity to check their tax notice in a special application or on the STS website.
