According to Міністерство Здоров'я: The new National Calendar of Preventive Vaccinations in Ukraine, which comes into effect on January 1, 2026, not only changes the vaccination schedules but also opens new opportunities for doctors. This step is aimed at improving communication with parents based on the best global practices and scientific research.

First of all, primary care physicians, such as pediatricians and family doctors, play an essential role in disseminating information about vaccination. Their support and recommendations are key to maintaining patients' trust.

'Changes to vaccination schedules will allow for more effective protection of children against infections, reducing the number of injections and making the vaccination process less traumatic,' experts explain.

The new system involves the use of combined vaccines to protect against several diseases simultaneously, simplifying the vaccination process for children and parents. Additionally, new vaccination schedules against a number of infections, including poliomyelitis, measles, mumps, rubella, and HPV, have been introduced.

New Opportunities and Benefits

For example, vaccination against poliomyelitis under the new schedule will help effectively protect children from this dangerous infection. It is also important to allow vaccinations for girls aged 12-13 against the human papillomavirus, which is an important step for their future health.

'Parental awareness and cooperation with the doctor are crucial for the successful implementation of new vaccination schedules,' experts add.

The updated National Calendar takes into account global standards and scientific research to ensure the utmost safety and effectiveness for our children.
