Dollar exchange rate for the week: expert names the range of fluctuations

According to hvylya.net: The situation on the currency market of Ukraine at the beginning of the week will remain stable, without sharp changes or exchange rate surprises. According to Taras Lesovoy, the head of the treasury department of Globus Bank, the US dollar will be stable, while the euro may show volatility in international markets.
Currency exchange rate forecasts
The following exchange rate ranges are expected on the interbank market: 41.25-41.65 hryvnias per dollar and 47.5-49 hryvnias per euro. Cash market fluctuations will be similar – 41.2-41.5 hryvnias per dollar and 47.5-49 hryvnias per euro. According to the expert's assessment, the average deviations will not exceed 1-1.5%.
Lesovoy emphasized that the stability of the dollar is ensured by the 'managed flexibility' policy implemented by the National Bank. 'The main essence of this regime is to smooth out dollar fluctuations as much as possible and to prevent sharp exchange rate changes,' he noted. In case of increased demand, he stated that the regulator is ready for currency interventions to stabilize the market.
Euro exchange rate forecast
As for the euro, its exchange rate in Ukraine will depend on the ratio of the hryvnia to the dollar and the quotations of the euro/dollar pair in global markets. According to the analyst, it is expected to range from 1.15 to 1.18. The fluctuations of this currency are becoming predictable and do not cause a stir among market participants.
Let us also remind that the European Union plans to provide Ukraine with a 'reparations loan' of up to 130 billion euros.
