On July 18, 20-year-old David Yaryna died: the story of a hero from the Lviv region

On July 18, 2025, the defender from Lviv region, David Yaryna, who defended the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia, Northern Slobozhansky, and Southern Slobozhansky areas as part of military unit A0458, fell. According to information from the Lviv City Council, this news was reported by 'Glavkom'.
David Yaryna was born on July 27, 2005, in the village of Rudantsi in the Lviv region.
He studied at a general secondary education institution of I-III levels in the village of Zapytiv of the Novoyarichiv settlement council in the Lviv district. Later, he studied the specialty of 'plumber-fitter, electric welder' at the Lviv vocational college of railway transport.
David loved reading fantasy books, writing poetry, and engaging in sports. He was an active participant in the public organization 'Youth Rights' and was known for his balance and kindness.
In 2024, David Yaryna took up the defense of his homeland and died on July 18, 2025, while protecting the territorial integrity of Ukraine. His memory was honored as a hero of Ukraine at Lychakiv Cemetery.
This case adds to the nationwide tribute to all those who died in the Russo-Ukrainian war, which is held every day at 9 a.m. by Ukrainians.
