Replacement of the technical passport in Diia: how drivers can now obtain a new document

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation, has launched a new service for replacing the technical passport of a vehicle through the 'Diia' app. Now, car owners have a convenient opportunity to replace the technical passport in case of loss, damage, or the need to change license plates or personal data without leaving home.

To use the service, you need to select the service in the app, specify the reason for replacing the technical passport, choose new license plates (if needed), select the type of technical passport, and the method of document delivery. After confirmation and updating contact information, it is necessary to sign and pay for the application within 24 hours.

This service is available only for adult citizens with a tax number and biometric passport in the 'Diia' app, and the user must be the owner of the vehicle, and their technical passport must be saved in the mobile app. It should be noted that when changing the technical characteristics of the vehicle, it is necessary to contact the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs directly, as the digital service does not cover such cases. In addition, Ukrainian drivers must adhere to seasonal road restrictions.
