Charges Against the Deputy Head of the Police Protection Department
According to Главком: Prosecutors of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office have charged the deputy head of the Police Protection Department in the Ivano-Frankivsk region. He is suspected of large-scale fraud related to the embezzlement of state aid funds received by the father of a deceased serviceman.
It is known that the father of the deceased received a one-time state monetary aid due to his daughter's death. The serviceman was killed in April 2022 at the Azovstal factory in Mariupol. The suspect had family ties with the father of the deceased, which raises questions about the ethical standards of his behavior in this situation.
Case Circumstances
In 2023, the suspect purchased an apartment with an area of over 100 square meters, worth almost 2.7 million hryvnias. It is worth noting that the ownership rights to this property were registered in the name of a close relative of the suspect. These circumstances raised concerns among law enforcement and became grounds for investigation.
Currently, investigative actions are ongoing to clarify all circumstances of this case.
