Zelensky announced the 9th stage of prisoner exchange: hundreds more Ukrainians returned home

According to hvylya.net: President Volodymyr Zelensky announced the successful completion of the ninth stage of the prisoner exchange, which was agreed upon during negotiations in Istanbul. According to him, a total of more than 1000 Ukrainians have been returned.

'Today, the ninth stage of the exchange, which was agreed in Istanbul, has already taken place. Seriously ill and seriously wounded defenders are returning home,' - the president wrote on social media.

Zelensky emphasized the importance of these exchanges for Ukrainian families and noted that all those released will receive the necessary support and medical assistance. It is noted that the soldiers returning today had been in captivity for three years, defending Ukraine at the front.

The participants of the agreements plan to hold a summit of the leaders of the countries by the end of August with the participation of the presidents of Turkey and the USA to further address the issues of prisoner exchange.
