The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, appointed Sergey Lysak as the head of the Odessa city military administration, which occurred by the order and decree of the head of state. This position pertains to the Odessa district of the Odessa region.

Temporarily, the duties of the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional state administration have been transferred to Vladislav Gayvanenko. Sergey Lysak himself commented on his appointment and the end of his work in Dnipro, expressing gratitude to the president and colleagues.

«Today I finish my work as the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration. We faced important challenges that had to be addressed every day. My team always adhered to clear priorities,» - said Lysak.

The appointment of Sergey Lysak as the head of the Odessa city military administration was a response to a petition from residents that emerged in September 2025 and received support from the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky.

The newly elected head of the Odessa city military administration will have to face numerous challenges and tasks related to enhancing security and organizing military affairs in the region.
