According to ХВИЛЯ: In an interview with Norway's NRK News, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy detailed the receipt of over ten NASAMS air defense systems, made possible through Norwegian efforts. Norway not only supplied the launchers and domestically produced missiles but also coordinated with other nations to secure additional ammunition for Ukraine's air defenses. This sophisticated Western air defense system has been crucial in protecting Ukrainian cities and infrastructure from Russian missile and drone attacks.

Beyond military aid, Norway also provided Ukraine with critical gas supplies during the difficult winter period. This support was a vital step following Russian attacks on Ukraine's gas and energy infrastructure. Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated:

“This winter, Norway also helped us with gas, which we needed after Russian strikes on our energy sector, particularly our gas infrastructure.”

Concerns Over UN Resolution

In the same interview, the President expressed concern over attempts by some allies to halt work on a UN General Assembly resolution titled 'Support for a Lasting Peace in Ukraine'. Some partners proposed a resolution text that omitted the phrase 'Russian aggression'. Zelenskyy emphasized:

“I said: No, this is Russian aggression. If we don't include these words, people will forget about it in two or three years.”

Despite these challenges, the resolution secured support from 107 countries, significantly exceeding initial analyst predictions of only 80 votes.

The delivery of NASAMS systems and Norway's support with gas supplies highlights the strategic cooperation between Ukraine and its partners during the ongoing conflict.
