The government allocated 1.5 billion UAH for energy protection: what decisions were made
According to glavcom.ua: The government has decided to support frontline regions by allocating 1.5 billion UAH for the protection of energy facilities in areas subjected to Russian strikes. This was reported by Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydnenko during a meeting with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
The government has additionally allocated 1.5 billion UAH specifically to frontline regions for the protection of energy facilities. A reserve of equipment has been formed for the prompt restoration of energy supply, and we will continue to increase this reserve. We also discussed the situation in the gas sector, increasing gas reserves, and ensuring that people are provided for. We agreed that the government will soon adopt a resolution to maintain a fixed price for natural gas for household consumers.
In particular, a decision was made to impose a moratorium on disconnecting consumers in frontline communities to support the most affected localities. Support for teachers and internally displaced persons was also an important topic discussed at the meeting.
I also instructed to prepare and report on specific ways to increase teachers' salaries so that the already adopted decisions about salary increases would take effect next year. It is important that there are tangible results in supporting internally displaced persons. I expect government officials to report on these two issues at the end of this week.
Ensuring energy security in Ukraine
President Zelensky emphasizes the importance of increasing the stock of energy-efficient equipment for winter, while not excluding possible electricity outages in case of ongoing conflicts. The Ministry of Energy indicates the need for careful monitoring of the situation and the readiness to respond to any threats to the country's energy system.
