Ukrainian President's Visit to Qatar

According to ХВИЛЯ: During a visit to Qatar, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy disclosed that Russian satellites photographed the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia three times prior to an Iranian attack. According to Ukrainian intelligence, the imagery was captured on March 20, 23, and 25. On March 26, Iran launched an attack on the base, which hosts American and Saudi military personnel. Several U.S. service members were injured, though two U.S. officials stated the injuries were not life-threatening. This revelation highlights the complex web of alliances and intelligence-sharing in the Middle East conflict.

Zelenskyy explained that repeated satellite imaging is a clear indicator of impending military action.

'We know this: if they image once, they are preparing. A second time is akin to a simulation. A third time means they will strike within a day or two.'

He also asserted direct Russian cooperation with Iran, stating,

'I don't believe-I know they share information. Do they help the Iranians? Absolutely. To what percentage? One hundred percent.'

Defense Agreements and Stalled Diplomacy

Zelenskyy noted that peace efforts for Ukraine are currently frozen due to the war involving Iran. Meanwhile, Ukraine has signed defense agreements with Saudi Arabia and Qatar during its Gulf tour. These pacts involve Ukraine sharing air defense technology in exchange for investments in its domestic defense industry, a move Zelenskyy said recognizes Ukrainian expertise.

Furthermore, a U.S. negotiating team, including Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, proposed holding trilateral talks on U.S. soil, but Russia refused. Zelenskyy suggested Turkey or Switzerland as alternative venues, emphasizing,

'We will never be the side that blocks, delays, or postpones. That is why we are ready to meet anywhere, except Russia or Belarus-they are allies and they are enemies.'

Zelenskyy expressed concern over U.S. policy, stating,

'I am very worried. I hope the United States does not make such a mistake.'

He argued that

'Putin benefits, greatly benefits from this war. If sanctions are lifted, he will get more money, much more money-and he will direct that money to weapons.'

The security situation in the Middle East remains tense following Iranian aggression. Ukraine continues to forge agreements with Arab nations to bolster its own defense capabilities, while international diplomacy surrounding the conflicts with Russia and Iran grows increasingly complex. These events underscore the critical importance of cooperation between Ukraine and its partners in countering global threats, which have direct implications for regional stability. The international community's response to Iran's actions will be a key factor in resolving these intertwined conflicts.

As the situation in the Middle East evolves, Zelenskyy's insights into Russian support for Iran raise critical concerns about the safety of U.S. forces and regional stability.
